Objectives

1. Increase consumer awareness of the nutritional value of millet and sorghum.2. To increase awareness of varied ways in which millet and sorghum can be prepared and eaten.3. To improve consumer perception of grains by rebrading them as palatable to high and middle income consumers.4.To encourage food manufacturers and supermarkets chains to use the recipes generated to develop innovative new products.

Methods

The product which were made are millet ice cream cones, milleti roll and kashera shake.

Results

The products made were tasty and delicious.

Conclusions

By promoting millet and sorghum, it will save the country from spending 300 million dollars annually on importing 40,000 tonnes of wheat.
