Call for Abstracts – MN Forum Conference 2016

Micronutrient Forum Global Conference 2016: Positioning Women’s Nutrition at the Centre of Sustainable Development

Abstract submission is now open for the Micronutrient Forum Global Conference, to be held in Cancun, Mexico, 24-28 October 2016.

The deadline (extended) for submissions is February 29th, 2016.

While maintaining the broad interest in all aspects of micronutrients, the theme for the MN Forum will focus on women’s nutrition.

Women are both a prime focus of nutrition interventions and key partners in the delivery of programs – for children, families and communities. The health and well-being of women and girls are, consequently, critical to achieving several of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The time has come to better understand the burden, the context and the most innovative and effective solutions to improve policy, and the design and delivery of programs, for the increased equity, survival, health and well-being of women and girls.

There is much to learn and share by bridging scientific discovery and program delivery across multiple sectors.

The program tracks will cover all population groups, while specifically highlighting women and girls:

Track 1: Measuring and interpreting information on micronutrient status and program coverage

Track 2: Effects of micronutrient interventions on indicators and functional outcomes

Track 3: Scaling up micronutrient interventions in vulnerable populations: Bridging the gaps between evidence and implementations

Track 4: Transforming the enabling environment to forge a future for micronutrients – what will it take?

More detailed session information will be available here on the Micronutrient Forum website and the abstract submission platform here
