Event Information
The Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Consortium (HMHB) hosted its first Coffee and Chai Chat of the year featuring renowned expert, Dr. Parul Christian, Professor and Director of the Program in Human Nutrition at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. The chat focused on the potential of Balanced Energy and Protein (BEP) Dietary Supplementation during pregnancy and was hosted by Dr. Mihaela Ciulei, the new Program Manager of the BEP Technical Advisory Group (TAG).
HMHB has recently set up the BEP-TAG with the mission to generate evidence and guidance to champion the adoption of BEP food/supplementation as an evidence-based intervention or standard of care in antenatal care programs to improve maternal nutrition and birth outcomes. The chat will disseminate the latest research and knowledge on BEP interventions for pregnant women and discuss their potential to help mothers and babies thrive. Participants asked live questions and gained insights into this promising intervention.
Join the upcoming chat and stay tuned for HMHB's popular Coffee and Chai Chat series on maternal nutrition, multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS), and BEP interventions.
