Event Information
The Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Consortium (HMHB) hosted a Coffee and Chai Chat with Emily Mates, Maternal Nutrition Specialist at UNICEF, and Philip James, Senior Technical Associate, Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) on 19 June at 9 AM ET | 3 PM CET | 6:30 PM IST. This 45-minute session focused on accelerating multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS) in countries as part of strengthened antenatal care services (ANC) in humanitarian settings and beyond.
Participants learned about the Acceleration Plan on Improving Maternal Nutrition by UNICEF and partners, and ENN’s new report on MMS in emergencies, and asked questions in real-time. This virtual chat is part of a series of informal chats organized to connect global and national experts with those working in the field of maternal health and nutrition. This platform provides practitioners, particularly those working at the national level, the chance to learn about the latest evidence, knowledge, and information on MMS and other maternal nutrition interventions and interact with experts directly.
